Convert Your Closet In To A Mud Room

Your closet can easily become a mud room for your entry way! This conversion can be as simple as removing the closet doors and adding a bench seat and a few hooks for coats. You can dress it up with the addition of wainscoting above the bench. Add a bit if trim and paint it whatever color you like and you have added a tremendous dropping station for your children’s book bags, coats, shoes, etc.  Heavy hooks are a good choice to make, and ensuring that they are mounted into studs will provide durability for heavy items. Additionally, you can include shelving under the bench seat, or even add shoe cubbies for organization!
