Assuming you have more space than just a washer and dryer sitting next to each other or stacked on top in a closet, you may want to consider dressing it up a touch. You can actually paint your laundry room and maybe even add an accent wall or pictures.
The point is that it is still a room and one that if you dress up and make more friendly it may make the time you spend there not so dreadful. Another idea is if you have a small bedroom that is next to a bathroom this bedroom can make a great laundry room. My personal laundry room is a small bedroom that would have been worthless. We have a folding station as well as out ironing board out all the time. We also have an area to hang clothes that we don’t want to put in the dryer. Try some of these ideas!
