Start with a focal point (Bathroom and Kitchen remodels)

Having done hundreds of kitchen and bathroom remodels I know how hard it is for clients to get their initial color scheme going. Let me make it easy: start with a focal point which is the main eye catcher in this given area. With bathrooms it is good to start with a vanity and top as they are often easier to first find one that you like. Use the top as you sample swatch to fine a tile you like. Another piece of advice if you vanity is dark go for a lighter top and vice verse. Now in kitchen your first goal is to find a cabinet or top that you love and work back from that. You have to start somewhere and these are the best first starts.
